Replacement Tension strips for Fabric Stretch Machine
Replacement strips for tension bars for our fabric stretch machine. Natural textured gum rubber foam that is both returns to shape from compression and return to original shape. Textured crisscross surface helps grab fabric for tension application. Self adhesive backer.
PLEASE NOTE:
This product requires preparation on the existing bars prior to application.
1. Thoroughly sand bars to remove excess adhesive from previous application. Recommend 220 grit using disc type sander. Be careful to remove only adhesive, not aluminum material.
2. Thoroughly clean bars using a commercial wax, grease and adhesive remover for automotive paint prep or similar cleaner.
3. Do final clean with a commercial surface preparation cleaner that does not leave residue.
4. We recommend using a spray glue on the bar to promote better adhesion. Remove bar and place on a backing material that is disposal (painting mask paper or similar). Spray glue on bars and follow glue instructions. We recommend using a 3M 88 (headliner) or 3M 77 (foam) type glue.
5. Apply strip to bar, cut to length.
6. Clamp a 1x3" x length of bar board for 24 hours over the foam and the bar using clamps (Quick grip or similar) every 6-8 inches to allow the product to adhere to the bar firmly.
